Programme
Objective
By
the end of 2010, CSPR will be a motivated member driven network,
anchored on strong governance principles and values, with effective
programme implementation at all levels.
What The Programme Does
The
Governance and Institutional Development programme provides CSPR an
opportunity to strengthen the governance and management structures. It
develops and implements various administrative and financial policies.
It facilitates human resources development for staff and the general
membership. Provincial structures are strengthened to play a greater
role in planning and implementation. Membership selection criteria is w
streamlined to ensure that only those organizations that meet the set
standards are admitted to CSPR. Resource mobilization is conducted as
well as development of sustainability measures for the
organization. It also facilitates regular monitoring and evaluation of
the work of CSPR including preparation of periodic financial and
narrative reports for consideration by the Board of Directors and
cooperating partners.
Operational
Objectives
The Governance and Institutional Development Programme has
2 operational
objectives:
1.To strengthen
co-ordination and management of the network at
all levels by 2008;
2.To strengthen the
governance structures, systems and practices
of CSPR at all levels.
Activities
1. Finalise and
complete the Provincial Role Clarification Strategy
2. Finalise and
implement the recommendations on the National
Role Clarification,
3. Conduct an
Assessment to determine the expansion of CSPR.
Expected Outcomes
· An
effective and efficient network
· Improved programme
management at provincial level
· Increased ownership
by CSPR network members
· Improved
organisational sustainability
· Efficient
disbursement of resources to CSPR PPMTs
Programme Management
The programme is
managed by the Executive Director, Programmes Manager and the Finance
and administration Manager.
