Programme Objective
By
the end 2010,CSPR will have developed and popularized information, and
technical resources on pro-poor development and poverty eradication,
which will form the basis for interaction, engagement and alliance
building with civil society, the general public, government, cooperating
partners and other stakeholders locally and internationally.
What The Programme Does
The Information Management
and Networking (IMN) programme therefore will enable CSPR to share
information and experiences on pro-poor development as well as create
opportunities for strategic networking. The programme will build on the
current successes in information dissemination and act as an interface
with the media, and the general public. The IMN programme will continue
with the simplification and translation of information on key processes
such as the National Development Plan, it will also publish the
intellectual products arising from different CSPR activities
particularly under the Research and Policy Analysis programme. programme
will be responsible for maintaining the CSPR website as well as
different information databases. In terms of networking, CSPR, through
this programme will host an annual Civil society day, create linkages
with local and international partners as well as develop and broadcast
TV and radio programmes for purposes of wider public outreach. The
programme will strive to ensure that a more knowledgeable public hold
government accountable for their actions.
Operational Objectives
Two
operational objectives have been identified for the firs two years
operations of the CSPR strategic plan and these are:
1. To increase public
awareness and understanding of poverty eradication issues and CSPR
activities,
2. To improve information
flow on CSPR programmes and activities among network members and
relevant stakeholder
Activities
1. Simplify
and translate information on the National
Development Plan process;
2. Publish, launch and
disseminate research and policy analysis
reports;
3. Publish bi-annually the
CSPR Newsletter;
4. Develop advocacy
materials on pro-poor development;
5. Publish policy briefs
on key pro-poor development issues;
6. Develop and distribute
CSPR Information
Expected Outcomes
· Public
able to hold government accountable on pro-poor
development issues;
· Recognition of CSPR as a
credible source of information;
· CSOs have a unified
voice on pertinent pro-poor development
issues,
· Effective advocacy on
poverty reduction issues
Programme Management
In
terms of management, a Programme Officer has the responsibility of
managing the whole programme with the assistance of a specific Programme
Management Team.

Poverty Information
Baseline Study
This is a
report of the findings of the baseline study of poverty information
in Zambia and beyond. The study's key aim was to establish
information availability on poverty so as to feed into the process

Civil Society Day
As part of its capacity building
